9,000 sq-ftAPEC Engineering, Inc provided Structural Engineering for this new 9,000 sq-ft office bulding. The original structure was a small single story wood framed office building that was the headquarters for Glacier DRS, Inc. The new facility was designed around and over the top of the existing facility.

The design of the new building utilized "Durisol" concrete wall forms for the foundation and exterior walls. Durisol is a proprietary material that is composed of natural raw materials - specially graded wood chips and Portland cement. Structural steel framing was designed to carry the exterior "Durisol" wall over the top of the existing building. The floor is framed with open web trusses supported by column and beam construction for maximum flexibility of the lower level space. The roof is framed with metal-plate connected wood trusses that clear span the upper level
