APEC Engineering (formerly Schwarz Architecture & Engineering) was selected by Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks to prepare construction plans and specifications for a new public fishing access site. Project funding was received from Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks. Development of the fishing access site include reconstruction of a local access road to a 24 ft wide county road, a new parking facility, new concrete boat ramp, public restroom facility, and water and sewer services for the site host. Engineering considerations during design included balancing cuts and fills for the site, design of a push-in concrete slab, and traffic circulation. Construction for the site was found to be difficult due to extreme fluctuations of water levels of Echo Lake.
